Amelia Pendleton

I currently live in California, where I work as a freelance artist. I earned a BA in Digital Arts and Animation from Cogswell Polytechnical College. I have illustrated 

comics, children’s storybooks, video games, short films, and book covers. I also work part time on my own comics, stories, and artwork. Currently I am focused on writing and drawing “The Dead Hand Used Bookstore.” 

 

I have loved scribbling since I was old enough to understand that crayons could 

mark things, and those “things” didn’t always mean paper. Since then I have found that scribbling has been one of the most creative and freeing processes of drawing and storytelling. Sometimes a character forms because of a quickly and incorrectly drawn line, while other times whole worlds seem to come out of the scribbles. Nothing is perfect with scribbling and sketching, and that’s the way I like it.
